Winners don't do youtube fulltime, and use Spotify sparingly

We don't know. It's easier to say what it isn't.

It's rarely all male groups.
It's never 'authentic'
It's never racist, or Tory.
It's hard to define, but often obvious
Do the group look like pricks? Are they rude to fans, journalists, waiters, strangers?
when we hear the song, or see the group, or watch the video, do we get tingles?
Does the song get near the triptych (reminder, in order: New, original, good?)

Queen - as a group - were winner, and then they played Sun City. So - Under Pressure and Rhapsody still are. Group isn't
Betty Boo, yes. Swans no.
It can be - and often is - just one great song.
Barbers, hen nights, betting shops, Top Shop, cabs, house parties - winner sounds thrive here
But not only there- it's not only hits, Western pop, or bubblegum
It's neither measured on sales alone (many No 1s are not winner) nor created by niche experimentation (many non hits both deserve their fate *and* are Important - still not winner)
Winner sounds put a spring in our step or a rocket up our bum
